Why should you consider T1/PRI Service?

Cost.

If you are currently using POTS lines, every time your company needs more service, you have to order another line. In addition to the cost of the line itself, sometimes you will need additional hardware on your phone system to support this.

On the other hand, a T1/PRI circuit can handle substantially more. A T1 circuit can handle 24 channels of voice traffic, a PRI 23 channels. This doesn’t mean you are required to have that many though. Most service providers today have many plans to suit a wide variety of business needs.

This means your company can have T1/PRI service with only 12 channels of voice. What does this mean to you? Simple; as your business grows, you can expand those channels without the purchase of additional hardware on your phone system, up to the 24 (T1) and 23 (PRI) channel per circuit maximums.

One of the many advantages of a digital circuit is also the ability to provide your customers with direct dial numbers and not having to dedicate a POTs line for it.

In a POTs environment, if the CEO of a company would like a dedicated number to ring at their desk, it would require a separate line to be used only for that function. In addition to that added cost, if they are on that line, if another caller would try to dial that number, it would ring busy unless there is another dedicated line for it to ring to. You can see where this is going with your companies costs.

With a digital circuit, all channels can accept calls from all numbers at your company. There are no dedicated lines as you know it. Instead it makes the best use of your resources. You can also begin providing customers with direct numbers for a much larger group of employees at your company.

There are other benefits of a digital circuit that we would be happy to explain to you. You may not know if this is the best solution for your company at this time and we will help you determine when and if it will be in the future.
